 ★ Ingredients ★ 

  • 1 kg Beef Bones
  • 3 litres water
  • 2 Cups Soup Mix*
  • 1 cup Chopped Potato
  • 1 Cup Chopped Carrot
  • 1 Cup Chopped Parsnip
  • 1 Cup Chopped Silverbeet
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

 ★ Instructions ★ 

  1. Put water, soup mix and bones in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer for 3 hours and the meat is falling off the bones.
  3. Remove the bones, fat and gristle from your stock.
  4. Add vegetables, salt and pepper and simmer for 1 hour, stirring often.

 ★ Recipe Notes ★ 

*Soup Mix - a mix of dried Peas, Barley and Lentils.
