How to make pita bread pizza

 ★ Ingredients ★ 

  • 1 large Pita bread round
  • ½ cup diced tinned tomatoes
  • 2 bacon rashers
  • 8 Salami slices
  • 75 grams beef mince
  • 75 grams chicken mince
  • 8 large mushrooms
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese

 ★ Instructions ★ 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C
  2. Dice bacon and mushrooms, set aside
  3. Cut salami slices in half, set aside
  4. Roll beef mince in to 1cm balls, set aside
  5. Roll chicken mince in to 1cm balls, set aside
  6. Spread diced tomatoes on top of the pita.
  7. Using half a cup sprinkle on a layer of grated cheese.
  8. Evenly spread salami, bacon, mushroom and red capsicum.
  9. Sprinkle on another layer of remaining grated cheese.
  10. Add beef and chicken meatballs to top
  11. Place on baking sheet, bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C, or until cheese is melted and meat is browned (times may vary).
  12. Slice with pizza cutter and enjoy!

Gluten free Naan Bread or pita bread can be used for gluten free individual pizzas.

Classic Pita Pizza

1 pita bread
1 tbsp tomato sauce
½ cup grated mozzarella cheese

1 Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the pita pizza

2 Top with cheese and then bake.

Barbecue Chicken Pita Pizza

1 pita bread
1½ tbsp barbecue sauce divided
¼-⅓ cup shredded chicken
½ cup grated cheddar cheese

1 Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce on the pita pizza

2 Toss the chicken in a bit of the bbq sauce

3 Top pita with shredded chicken

4 Top with cheese and then bake.

Greek Pita Pizza

1 pita bread
1 tbsp tomato sauce
½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp feta cheese crumbled
¼ cup fresh spinach
2 tbsp sliced roasted red peppers
1 tbsp sliced kalamative olives
¼ tsp dried oregano

1 Spread pita with tomato sauce

2 Top with spinach, peppers, and olives

3 Top with both cheeses and dried oregano.

4 Bake until cheese melts.
